Description

Part 2 builds on the same approach begun in Part 1, through singing combined with solfa and other practical activities. Minor (‘la’) tonality is introduced, along with more complex rhythms, opportunities for ensemble playing and simple composition exercises. The diatonic scale brings in a move from the black keys to 5-finger positions on the white keys, underpinned with technical exercises.  A new book making the transition from solfa to fixed pitch letter-names is in preparation.
